• Avoid topical agents that may increase your skin’s sensitivity, such as retinoids, topical antibiotics, or acids 3-5 days prior to your treatment.
• Avoid unprotected sun exposure or sunburn for at least 24 hours prior to your treatment.
• No waxing, depilatory creams, or electrolysis to the area being treated for 5-7 days prior.  
• If you’re prone to cold sores, take an antiviral agent for 2 days prior to and the day of the treatment.
• Avoid blood-thinning agents for one week prior because bruising is a common side effect.

• After the treatment, nothing topical should be applied for at least 90 minutes.
• Drink plenty of water.
• Avoid washing your face for the first 6-8 hours. You can gently wash the treated area with a gentle cleanser and apply a mild moisturizer after that.
• For at least 3-7 days post-treatment, do NOT use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula), or anything perceived as “active” skincare.
• Do not exfoliate at least for 7 days.
• Avoid direct sunlight for at least 7 days. Ensure you have proper sun protection whenever you are out in the sun
• Avoid swimming, sauna, or vigorous exercise for at least 72 hours.
• Avoid makeup for at least 12 hours after the procedure. Sanitize makeup brushes before using them.
